Компания Codemasters выпустила сегодня патч для демо-версии своего раллийного симулятора Colin McRae Rally 3. Заплатка обновляет код игры до финального, исправляет проблемы со звуком и поддержкой рулей с обратной связью (на что как раз и жаловались пользователи, скачавшие демку), а также увеличивает производительность демо-версии. Скачать патч, занимающий 23 Мбайта, можно с сайтов Gamers Hell или FileShack.

WorldofWar.net posted a new gameplay video from what they recorded from their time at E3. Among the things it displays are multiple characters fighting side- by- side, and the summoning of an Imp and a Voidwalker.

FilePlanet is now mirroring the Rage of Mages 2: Necromancer demo. This demo of the fantasy RTS from Monolith is 41.1 MB and gives players most of the full game's features to try out.

FilePlanet now has the Lineage II high res trailer, showing off high resolution footage from the upcoming Unreal Warfare engine MMORPG sequel from NCSoft. This movie weighs in at 52 MB.

A couple of computer animation students contacted me with a little trailer they produced to showcase a project they are working on called WWII: MIA. This little trailer is basically all computer generated and quite impressive. Here is a bit from the authors to help explain:
There were more specialized classes in WWII than battlefield actually represents. There were actually demolitions experts, There were the equivalent to the Navy Seals, Underwater mines were able to be placed. The video is Actually the story where the Enola Gay (the B-17 that drops "the bomb") is on its way to Japan and is intercepted and destroyed. "rewrite history". We are working out the details of the explosion with the coders as far as what exactly the bomb will be able to do in game play. There are going to be stipulations as to how the bomb is able to be used, when the bomb will be available for use, etc. It is , just like in the war, a race for the bomb. And just because your side gets the bomb, does not mean that you will win!

Wanadoo has released a playable demo of Next Generation Tennis 2003 (also known as Roland Garros 2003), allowing you to try out this recently released tennis sim by Carapace. The demo (direct link) weighs 31MB and lets you play one match from the US open against PC.

Shortly after the German demo, CDV has now released the promised English demo for Heaven and Hell, their upcoming real-time strategy god simulation. The demo contains a tutorial as well as one single player map playable (as good or evil) in three different difficulty settings. The demo weighs 102MB and is available for download from WorthPlaying, Tiscali Games, FilePlanet, FileShack. Heaven and Hell is scheduled to ship this summer.

The official Star Trek Elite Force 2 website has been updated with two new movies, showcasing the imminent FPS sequel by Ritual. The first one is the intro movie sequence, similar in style to what is done for the different Star Trek television shows. The second one offers two minutes of high res gameplay footage, showing how Elite Force II "shines in the Multiplayer setting". Elite Force 2 will be published by Activision at the end of the month.

FilePlanet has available a movie showing off in-game footage from Nival Interactive's upcoming turn-based strategy title that incorporates RPG elements, Silent Storm. This 42.6 MB BINK format movie shows off some action-packed footage, so check it out.

PC.IGN has posted up a new movie showing off gameplay from XIII, the upcoming cel-shaded first person shooter from Ubi Soft.

GSC Game World has released the E3 2003 trailer for FireStarter, offering two minutes of high resolution gameplay footage (DivX required) for this upcoming arcade FPS. The game is expected 'soon', but no release date are available yet.

Electronic Arts has released the E3 trailer for Harry Potter Quidditch World Cup, offering a bit more than one minute of footage for this upcoming sport/action game in the works at EA's UK Studio. Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup is scheduled for release in the fall of 2003 for PS2, Xbox, GameCube, GBA and PC.

There's a new updated demo of Moon Tycoon, Anarchy Entertainment's 3D strategy management sim. The demo is enchanced for newer video cards, and contains a tutorial, the sandbox mode, and several campaign missions. It's 34.5 MB.

We've just got permission to publish the Medal Of Honor: Rising Sun trailer folks, and it's nothing short of amazing. The entire trailer is made with .cgi and takes place at Pearl Harbor. Here are the mirrors:

The Illuminated Lantern let us know they have released a playable demo for 1893: A World's Fair Mystery. In the demo, you can begin the adventure, read a little background material, explore one of the exposition buildings, and interact with some other characters. The demo also works as a short tutorial for players new to Interactive Fiction, and explains all of the basic commands and how to use them. 1893: A World's Fair Mystery features over 500 archival photos from the 1893 Columbian Exposition in Chicago, historical characters, and challenging puzzles. Players take on the role of a detective investigating a diamond theft and must match wits with a criminal mastermind. The adventure uses a traditional text interface instead of the now common point-and-click interface, resulting in game play based on literary rather than cinematic conventions. Anarchy Entertainment has released a playable demo (36.8MB) of Deep Sea Tycoon (also known as AquaZots), their underwater 3D management strategy game which was recently released as Atlantis Underwater Tycoon on the US market through Activision Value. The demo contains four tutorials, a sandbox level set in the Atlantic Ocean, and three single levels. Mirror: 3DGamers.

Iridon has released a playable demo of Pure Pinball. The Pure Pinballt demo is 70MB in file size and contains the Excessive Speed table. The demo is time limited and contains a game manual in HTML format detailing the special table modes.

EA has just released another E3 teaser trailer for the up-and-coming Secret Weapons of World War II. This rendered video shows off a bunch of cool new toys that will be included, including the never before seen Rocket Pack. This is one kick ass video! Go check it out now!

Codemasters has released a playable demo for IndyCar Series, allowing you to try the high-speed racing simulation (speeds faster than 200 mph ) that is nearing completion at Brain In A Jar. The demo clocks 145MB and contains the Texas Motor Speedway track that you can drive in test and race modes. A version of the download without the bundled DirectX installer (113MB) can be found on 3D Gamers.

Focus Interactive and Cyanide Studio today announced a playable demo of Cycling Manager 3, just gold popular cycling simulation. In this demo, "you will be taking over the CSC Team as manager, and will ride one of the mountain stages of Tour de France. It will be 191 kms hard and long ride. Can you beat Armstrong, Beloki, Savilla and the other favorites?" The demo weighs 90MB and is available for download from FactorNews, Tiscali Games, GH.

UGO has posted up a new hands-on preview of Ghost Master, the "ghost scaring" sim game from Sick Puppies and Empire Interactive that's already out in Europe and will be released in the US later this week. In related news a Czech language demo of the game (with dialogue in English) is available at 3D Gamers.

The 5th installment in the THPS Filming Movies has been posted over at our hosted site THPS Glitches. These are all pretty sweet movies, encoded in both broadband and dialup sizes. As usual, a recommended download.
