» How to identify CPU package type (BOX or TRAY)

How to identify CPU (s478) package type (BOX/TRAY) using markings on surface only:

- Finished Process Order (FPO)
- Assembly Test Process Order (ATPO)
- Partial Serial Number

Numbers above engraved on the CPU surface using laser.

- Монтаж процесс тестирования заказа (ATPO)

SL7E5. Almost identical CPUs. They have same stepping and s-Spec #. But the difference in packaging and TDP. For that I need to identify which of them is the box version and which is tray because I have one candidate to buy. Seller can not check Ordering Code. He knows Intel' FPO, ATPO and Serial #. As I know in the past it was possible to identify using this info but seems not now..

SL7KC example with FPO, ATPO and Serial #



1 - probably turn it on and check through OS with Intel CPU Utility (seller can not do that)
2 - try to decode FPO, ATPO and Serial # on CPU surface

Any suggestions how?
