Beyond Compare is a data comparison utility. Aside from comparing files, the program is capable of doing side-by-side comparison of directories, FTP and SFTP directories, Dropbox directories, Amazon S3 directories, and archives. It is available for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux operating systems. A strength of Beyond Compare is that it can be configured as difftool and mergetool of version control systems, such as git. /Wikipedia.../

Программа для сравнения и синхронизации файлов различных типов и папок. Операции могут быть осуществлены, как с локальными файлами, так и посредством удаленного доступа, включая FTP, WebDAV, SVN репозитории и облачные хранилища. Программа имеет настраиваемый интерфейс, поддержку модулей расширяющих ее функционал. Встроенные средства просмотра поддерживают широкий круг форматов файлов, позволяя проводить операции (сравнения, объединения и проч.) не только с текстовыми файлами, но и с таблицами (XLS(X)), данными реестра, файлами RTF, PDF, DOC(X), картинками, mp3 файлами и проч., а также бинарными файлами (в шестнадцатеричном режиме). Результаты операций могут быть сохранены, и при необходимости вновь загружены для продолжения работы. В программе имеется поддержка скриптов для автоматизации рутинных операций.

В 2.1 начиная с первой беты такая хрень:
не работает Compare Contents\Binary и Rules-based. Только Size и Size and CRC. Ругается так:

Кто нибудь подскажет. Почему у меня на локалке и хостинге файлы php показываются разными по размерам. Даже только закачал файл, а он все равно разный по размерам на локале и хостинге.

У локал Win98SE а хостинг Linux.

Может какие то настройки нужно выставить у программы?

Да нет все нормально. Просто в разных панелях левой и правой показывает размер php файлов разный.

Хотя на самом деле они идентичны.

Кто что может сказать о связке BC и MS VSS6 или BC и MS VSS2005 ?

Сабж ИМХО лучшая сравнивалка.
По крайней мере код и хексы сравнивает изумительно.

Как сделать чтобы сабж правильно показывал русские буквы в строках файлов при сравнении русских файлов? Версия 2.4.3 сборка 243, русская. ОС WinXP SP2, русская.

Подсадил BC2 на иконку в TotalCommander , чтобы сравнивал две текущие папки с ключами "%p %t /b".
Подскажите, как правильно прописать ключи, чтобы BC2 стартовал в режиме "Базовые правила сравнения" и без учета времени изменения файла?

А когда же все-таки русская версия будет оффициально представлена на хомяке? И как долго еще будет переводиться русский хэлп?
