The Central Brain Identifier 7.70 has been updated up to build 0114! There is only one significant improvement that fixes an incorrect determination of the model number of the AMD Athlon 64 FX processor family. The previous version of CBId may detect the 57th model like 25th or 60th model like 28th and so on.

Changes:
A new build of Central Brain Identifier 7.70 has been released! The latest version includes some minor advantages based on NextSensor source code. So, if you have a motherboard equipped with a Winbond super I/O chip, CBId can detect a negative processor temperature. Besides, for Winbond chips the third temperature sensor line probing has been added. Improved determination of the Winbond Super I/O chip model. Added full recognition of two Sempron 64 processors based on Winchester core, they are SDA3000DIO2BI and SDA3200DIO3BI. Enjoy! And the last good news is the work under the first NextSensor plug-in is almost complete! A new version of Central Brain Identifier 8.0 has been released! As you probably know, AMD will officially release its newest AM2 platform soon. Unfortunately, software developers are still not ready to support it because of the company keeps silence, as usual. Nonetheless, our faithful contact in AMD has supported our project with the latest technical documentation. So, the new version of CBId 8.0 now determines memory settings for both processor revision Fx and earlier revisions! You can change any memory timing you want! Besides, the Controller tab has been slightly redesigned in order to report the memory timings in a classic manner. Enjoy!

The fifth Release of Central Brain Identifier 8.0 has been announced! The current version incorporates a long awaited function to change a HyperTransport clock frequency. Now, if your system board is based on VIA, nVidia or AMD chipset you can change the HT frequency on the fly without any system restart! Available steps are 100MHz, 200MHz, 400MHz, 600MHz, 800MHz and 1000MHz! CBId doesn’t use any tricks, it conforms to the HyperTransport Specification only. In addition, you can change a HyperTransport width too. Enjoy!

The sixth release of Central Brain Identifier 8.0 is ready! We have enhanced the memory address range to the maximum to search the P-State tables of the processor. The Mobility tab has a new field to report the minimum core voltage of the AMD64 processor with AMD PowerNow! Technology support. And now, CBId identifies the newest AMD64 processors with revision F2, including OPN numbers. The following OPN list shows supported processors: ADA3500IAA4CN, ADA3800IAA4CN, ADA4000IAA6CS, ADA4200IAA5CU, ADA4400IAA6CS, ADA4600IAA5CU, ADA4800IAA6CS, ADA5000IAA5CU, ADAFX62IAA6CS.

The next version of the Central Brain Identifier 8.0 has been released! Now, it involves an official ‘DRAM Interface Speed vs. CPU Core Clock Multiplier’ table that belongs to the AMD64 processor Revision F! This allows CBId to determine a current frequency of DDR2 memory modules. Besides, now it’s possible to determine the maximum supported DRAM frequency by the memory controller. The P-State tab has been enhanced with new fields specific for these processors. So, CBId can determine a current temperature of each core of the dual-core processor! It also determines the Temperature Control specification parameter. The TCaseMax and MinVID have been disabled because of the latest AMD64 processors do not provide that information.

Announced the Final Release of the Central Brain Identifier 8.0! Our independent experiments on HyperTransport link change method have been successfully accomplished! So, we would like to proudly declare CBId is the first tool that is capable to freely manipulate by the frequency and width of the HyperTransport link despite the hardware configuration and Windows OS version! Besides, CBId involves two additional spare methods for this purpose. Also, we have realized an ability to change the memory frequency for the AMD64 platform including the latest Revision F processors. Now, there are seven divisors to change RAM Clock! Besides, CBId properly reports the memory frequency after FID transition. AMD Turion 64 X2 processor family recognition has been added. Minor fixes in calculation of QuantiSpeed rating for the AMD Sempron 64-bit processors.

Central Brain Identifier 8.2.0.1 has been released! Now, CBId features a fundamentally new methodology of AMD NPT processors identification based on BrandID processor specific numbers. It uses a similar method for previous generation of the AMD64 processors, but a new one is more flexible and universal! HyperTransport и CPU/RAM

Как стало известно, разработчики Central Brain Identifier решили не продолжать усовершенствование своего популярнейшего приложения для диагностики процессоров AMD. Об этом было сообщено разработчиком 18 августа в русском блоге на официальном сайте Central Brain Identifier.

Продолжать работу над программой в том виде, в котором она есть сейчас больше не представляется возможным. CBId был задуман исключительно для диагностики процессоров архитектуры AMD K7, однако, претерпев многочисленные изменения и доработки в исходном коде, своевременно стал востребованной универсальной диагностической программой для набиравшей тогда популярность платформы AMD64, мощной утилитой, обладавшей рядом особенностей, реализация которых так и не воспроизведена в разработках конкурентов даже сегодня. Всё это является следствием того, что мы не ставили перед собой цель создание банального идентификатора, CBId – результат наших многолетних изучений двух платформ – двух поколений процессоров AMD.

Тем не менее, намечающийся анонс четырехядерных процессоров AMD нового поколения объективно вынуждает нас оставить затею очередных оптимизаций в программе с целью обеспечения дальнейшей поддержки процессорам AMD – AMD Family 10h.
