Объясните пошагово плз, как вырезать, скажем, из 20 минутного файла mp3 первые, допустим, 40 секунд.

загружаешь в проге файл - находишь ползунком сверху откуда начинать вырезание (точка отмечена полоской на шкале) - нажимаешь "set begin" после этого находишь конец нужного тебе фрагмента и нажимаешь "set end" - у тебя выделится кусок - и в меню file выбираешь пункт save selection - все =)

Может глупый вопрос, но все же..
Как в этой программулине расставить метки по которым будет разбиваться файл не автомачически, а в ручную? Например как-нить по хитрому щелкнув мышкой по графику?

Кликаешь, где ты хочешь разбить файл. Потом Set Begin, Set End, Cut...

Ага! Оказывается деление делается путем вырезания маленького кусочка, например нулевой длины

да все рабочие. никаких отказов или ошибок мной не замечено в том числе и в последней версии.

в последних версиях изменилась система вырезания...
вместо помечания куска как неактивного, он просто пропадает...
можно както в новой версии вернуть старый режим?

Есть ли программа корректно режущая (на основе данных .cue) и программа корректно склеивающая VBR .mp3?
Корректно, значит не должно быть на слух заметно переходов между бывшими в склееном или созданными отдельными треками.
