Базовые функции:

Добавлен алгоритм интерполяции Ланцоша (Sinc), по умолчанию используется кубическая интерполяция.
При обесцвечивании можно выбрать основу градаций серого: осветлённость, яркость или среднее значение.
Окна можно перемещать с монитора на монитор.
Новую маску слоя можно инициализировать с любым из каналов изображения.
Содержимое буфера обмена можно вставлять как кисть или текстуру.
Поддерживается определение количества используемых процессоров.
В градиентах можно использовать основной и фоновый цвета.
Добавлена команда «Правка→Ослабить...» для изменения силы применения последнего действия (фильтра, рисования и т.д.).
Появилась функция удаления альфа-канала из слоя (некоторые расширения вроде High Pass с полупрозрачными слоями не работают).
Инструменты

Общие изменения:

Улучшены курсоры инструментов.
Реализован немедленный отклик на нажатие модификаторов.
Предустановки инструментов автоматически сохраняются при изменении.
Панель параметров инструментов занимает существенно меньше места по горизонтали.

Вопрос:
Как сделать какой-либо цвет прозрачным? "Цвет в альфаканал" не то.

Там еще и русский сразу ставится) Вопрос: МОжно ли сделать так, чтообы масштабировалось от колесика мышки? И можно ли прикрепить панель инструментов и ту, которая со слоями. чтобы они всегда были на виду, как в фотожёпе? Че-то не получается...

Есть такое дело, но только вот в этой сборке GIMP, мне подключить плагин для этой функции не удалось.

Но в GIMPVS он сразу-же заработал без всяких шаманств: Filters -> Web -> Slice.

Подскажите пожалуйста есть ли где-нибудь что-нибудь вроде "сборника" лучших плагинов для GIMP?

Есть страница "Top 40+ GIMP plugins" (правда ссылки там почти все устарели, но так для названия плагинов, и краткого описания - можно заглянуть).

А так можно покапаться в репозитории плагинов - GIMP Plugin Registry. А также форум есть.
