Important Information!! I have decided to rewrite the whole program, because I've got lost in my own code. And I've started the work on the new CDBurnerXP Pro, and of course it's going to stay freeware. I hope you all will continue to support my application. So it's no meaning sending error reports or e-mails about the old version, I wont read them or respond to them. But can expect a few new features in the next version, here are some:
* Audio CDs from audio files like WAV, MP3, WMA, OGG, RAW, VOX.
* CDDB information for audio CDs.
* Jitter-correction ripping modes to restore damaged tracks from scratched CDs.
* Recording support DVD+R/RW discs.
* Support for most IDE, USB, IEEE1384, SCSI DVD+R/RW and CD recorders

Ничего себе прога, правда, пока копировать напрямую disk-to-disk нельзя (но автор обещает сделать) и фейс нерусский (это тоже обещает). Когда все это будет, то любая девочка с бухгалтерии сможет с ней работать. Написана на васике, поэтому слегка тормознутая, но это от версии к версии тоже улучшается. В общем, растет человек

Почему вновь вспомнил об этой программке: появился двд-драйв внешний (usb/firewire), следовательно, нужно писать двд-диски. Попробовал свой любимый burnatonce вместе с prodvd - scsi errors и т.п. Т.е. дисковод видим, но что-то с ним делать - упаси б-же. Попробовал Неро. Ну, TaskInfo умучил меня сообщениями Too many win32 handles. В общем, двд с дистрибутивами в нере собрать нереально - жрать ресурсы начинает по черному (5.5.10.56). Пиннакл, шедший в комплекте с драйвом, нестабильный отказался
Так я начал искать софт.
Что привлекло в этой софтине
(1) наконец-то (!!!!!) появилась поддержка Joliet, т.е. можно нормально записывать кириллицу. Настроек, правда, никаких (ср. с тем же bao), ну да на безрыбье...
(2) интерефйс 5 баллов
(3) 2 диска уже отлично записаны
(4) загрузка процессора на уровне 10-20% во время записи. Неслабо, конечно, но неро и до 100 доводила.
Так что всем рекомендую присмотреться.

Ещё ложка дёгтя в недавно появившийся Joliet support: строго 31 символ в имени файла. Всё остальное режется нафиг
Кроме того, советую быть акуратным с удалением файлов из проекта - проще создать новый проект. Я так два фильма одинаковых записал на одну двд-болванку: удалилось только отображаемое имя, в проекте файл остался (но его видно не было, кроме того, в конце имени появилась ~), место занимал.

Офигеть, как грибы после дождя версии посыпались. Ну хоть патчи появились в последней версии, а то мало удовольствия каждый раз по 16 метров качать.
Софтинка по-прежнему у менят вызывает очень противоречивые чувства. Вроде как хорошо, но плохо. В т.ч. и с поддержкой Joliet не все ладно - длинные имена режутся, причем пользователь об этом не информируется. Радует одно - софтинка пока бесплатна (автор заявил бесплатность как один из принципов разработки, впрочем, многие так начинали), плюс имеет приятный интерфейс.

ну у меня Pioneer S606 (вроде так). Внешний USB+IEEE. Также ставил пиннакл, кошмар. Нестабильный очень. В нере тяжело проекты собирать - очень начинает жрать ресурсы, а через 2 - 3 минуты перетаскивания папок пропадает графика , хотя комп неслабый. Вот и ищу альтернативы. burnatonce+prodvd резак не видит (вернее, видит, но не работает), DeepBurner боюсь использовать, ибо настроек Joliet никаких (вернее, вообще настроек никаких), пока присматриваюсь к сабжу.
