Очень понравился код, который выдает дизассемблер, который в встроен в PE Explorer: находит и выводит ANSI и Unicode strings, детектит инструкции и еще много чего полезного. Его очень удобно править потом - все видно, как на блюдичке... только вот беда одна - скомпилить его нечем Ни один из имеющихся у меня ассемблеров не понял этот формат *asm - файлов. Может всезнающий ALL что-нибудь посоветует?

Есть ехе файл, попробовал поменять название компании и номер версии файла при помощи PE Explorera 1.98, сохранил файл, но он отказался работать (появляется окно Application Error, The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application.)

Как с этим бороться. Да, после сохранения файла размер увеличился с 606 кб до 1.02 МБ, хотя заменял букву в букву.

Значит, файл был запакован UPX-ом - при сохранении он записывается распакованным. Даже если ни буквы не поменяешь.

Подскажите пожалуйста.
В сабже есть такая функция как подгонка программ старого стиля к стилю WinXP (XP Visual Style Manifest Wizard). Дак вот, прогоняю я прогой испытуемый екзешник и врезультате получаеться, что все нормально фунциклирует, но не все кнопки отображаються в стиле XP. Где, что нужно еще подправить чтоб они отображались в стиле WinXP ?????

И параллельно вопрос. Перевожу программу с помосчу PE Explorer и заменяю строки на более длинные, чем они были в оригинале. Все нормально переводит, все работает. Можно так делать или это черевато глюками. Или можно делать в ресурсах все что позволяет программа не опосаясь за последствия?????
