На форуме оф. сайта есть информация, и в блоге разработчиков. Бетка появится наверное в течении недели-двух вместе с первой финальной версией Recuva.

Портативная, это хорошо, особенно если и на 98-ой будет работать без установки.

На 98-ую только cmd>format C: работать будет без установки .
Если портативна и usb значит без установки.. Есть пару разделу на этом форуме по портавнику.

Этот Yahoo! Toolbar весит почти 2 метра? И что он вообще даёт? В чём отличие "Basic-версии" от обычной? Только отсутствие этого тулбара?

Ясно... Я просто никогда этот тулбар не устанавливал, поэтому и не знаю чё он из себя представляет
Теперь только Basic-верси буду юзать

The original CCleaner user interface was looking a little dated, so the GUI was redesigned with a modern look, but without sacrificing speed or usability. New icons were created for the interface and the main program icon was updated with a more modern style.
• Exclusions
It is now possible to specify files, folders and registry keys to ignore from the cleaning process.
• Loads of little tweaks
Too numerous to mention them all separately, we've tried to improve CCleaner in all areas.

как впечатления у тех кто ставил двойку? быстрее работает, есть ли глюки?

занружается прога быстрее, изменился дизайн, остальное по работе тоже, уже пробовал

Под XP все на месте.
Но трабла с отображенем русского (см. выше).

странно, но факт
были крякозяблики на русском, после 2 раз смены языка, русский ангийский и английский русский, все стало хорошо отображаться.

Кроме смены интерфейса, ничего нового не заметил - функции те же, что и в первой версии. Глюков с языками нет (Win XP), все корректно отображается, только некоторые вещи не переведены на русский.
