не связано. Ещё раз - уточните у провайдера характеристии своего канала. ADSL на вход и выход разные скорости... Если DL 2000, не значит, что он такой же на UP.

После настройки программы согласно рекомендуемым настройкам трекера торрентс.ру существенно возросла нагрузка на процессор. Теперь грузит одно из 3-х ядер примерно на 40% процентов. (когда раздаю на всю ширину канала 5 Mbit) С чем это взаимосвязано и как это исправить? Откат настроек на дефолтные не помог.

Подкажите пожалуйста как поднять скорость с пирами у которых стоит в конце [uTP] (у меня клиент utorent 1.8.4 16688)
а то с какого то момента заметил проблемы со скоростью отдачи - раньше вроде все хорошо было - а после апдейта как то сразу просела скорость и на аплоад и на даунлоад
и вообще клиент стал вести себя странно - все происходит как бы волнами
Может в какой то момент начать качать очень быстро а потом часами висеть с скоростью улитки - непонятно.

Да соединений в xp tcpip.sys стоит 500
С некторыми закачками вообще странности - пишет что сиды есть пиров тоже вагон и скачано у меня с этой закачки около 40% а дальше не качает и соединенных пиров нет
он пишет что они есть в достаточном количестве - но не соединяется.
Чего делать - непонятно.
Буду благодарен за любые идеи

Что делать как раз понятно это и к вашей проблеме относится по отдаче.
Непонятно, что даже такой опытный участник форума не знает, что для этого существует поиск по версии для печати. С этой проблемой скорости для любителей свежака и не утвержденных протоколов типа uTP уже поднадоели.

Кстати установил 2.16850 b и изменил в options/preferences/advanced пару настроек стало намного лучше - но копать есть куда еще
Например изменив bt.connect_speed на 10 (было 20) - существенно "расшевелил"
закачки ну и еще пару настроек по мелочи

А не сталкивался ли кто-нибудь с такой вот совершенно чумовой проблемой uTorrent'a и файловой системы.
Как только начинается скачивание файла (например, avi), uTorrent создает соответствующий файл, этот файл имеет нужный размер... и уже на 100% заполнен содержимым! Причем это содержимое - обрывки разных видеофайлов (иногда аудио), которые я скачивал когда-либо и уже давно удалил. То есть, насколько я понимаю, это тот мусор от удаленных файлов, который пока еще физически не потерт из соответствующих секторов.
Этот "фильм", что характерно, даже можно посмотреть - собственно, так и обнаружилась проблема: скачал кино, кинулся его смотреть... и неудержимо фалломорфировал
Проблема наличествует, что характерно, в uTorrent 1.8.3 и выше (вот пробовал буквально вчера вечером тот релиз 1.8.4, что на офсайте в тот момент раздавали).
1.8.2 работает прекрасно. Несколько дней гуглил на эту тему - то ли лыжи не едут, то ли реально я единственный в мире, у кого такое случилось
ОС WinXP Pro SP3 + актуальные апдейты, NTFS, еще стоит антивирь ESS 3.0, больше вроде никаких приблуд.

Там же галочка в общих есть "распределять место сразу". Её снять надо.

Да нет никаких проблем. Сейчас уже сижу на 1.8.4.16688. Все прекрасно работает и раньше работало.
Народ, версии 1.7.7 и 1.6.1 были хорошие, но это не повод откатываться в прошлый век

Будьте внимательны! На 54 языках сказано: Дополнительные настройки (НЕ ИЗМЕНЯЙТЕ, если не уверены!)

Специально ради паникеров установил 2.1.0.16932 beta на виртуальную машину.
Настройки не трогал. Прет как зверь. График замечательный.

Эту полезную функцию имеет любая адекватная качалка и в том числе utorrent (все версии)

Если у тебя не глючит, это не значит что у других руки кривые, или еще что.
Особенно учитывая, что настройки по дефолту.
У многих проблемы с 1.8.3 и выше, достаточно почитать т.сру и этот топик.
Не вижу смысла писать что у тебя работает, это ничем не поможет тем, у кого глючит.
У меня и у пары друзей тоже по полчаса думает, потом только начинает качать, скорость ниже, чем на 1.7.7, 1.8.2, это только поверхностные проблемы.
Однако при тех же условиях, у других знакомых и друзей работают все версии.
Нужно как-то выяснить закономерности такого поведения новых версий.

Как следует четырьмя постами выше, на моей машине эта полезная функция начиная с версии 1.8.3 ведет себя несколько неадекватно.
Я б уже багрепорт настрочил, только вот стремно, что никто о такой проблеме больше не сообщает. Может, и не в сабже проблема...

Попробую помочь советом:
Ставите 1.8.4.16688. Глючит?
Тогда 1.8.4.16381. Тоже?
Пробуем 1.8.4.16150. Опять?
Ну тогда ставите 1.8.2.15167 и наслаждаетесь.
Ни фига?
Проверяйте "сетевую атмосферу".
Не используйте старые файлы настроек, т.е. каждый билд в отдельную папку.
Гляньте, что за процессы у вас сидят.
Попробуйте в другой/чистой оси. Я все проверял на ru_winxp_pro_with_sp3_vl.

Все еще более странно, чем на первый взгляд.
Дело-то в том, что при скачивании файла, это его кривое содержимое не переписывается, то есть выходит, что скачиваемые байты реально уходят в никуда.
Да и не встречал я ни в C++ ни в Делфи, чтобы создаваемый файл был сразу наполнен дисковым мусором...
Кажется, и вправду пора закусывать

Вы знаете, мне по большому счету пофигу, чем заполнен файл на старте скачивания, главная проблема в том, что он в конце скачивания остается неизменным - то есть заполненным левым содержимым.
В общем понятно, ни у кого нет ни такой проблемы (это хорошо), ни ее решения (это плохо)

у меня такое было и есть на разных версиях µTorrent
но в конце скачивания файл тот что надо, а то и раньше, когда уже большая часть скачалась.
возможно у вас не появляеться то, что нужно, если вы смотрите тот фильм, который вместо нового и в конце он и не может записать в последний сектор или байт или типа того)

Настройки - Дополнительно - diskio.no_zero что установлено? Если true, то при распределении файлового пространства ничего не затирается, если false - то затирается. Разумеется первый вариант работает быстрее.
