Вообще, я не согласен с авторами, что их метод улучшит скорость.

Спасибо большое за совет. Я, правда, поставил на 100, т.к. было написано, что более 100 подвергает опасности компьютер. У меня раньше (до half-opened connections) можно было работать или с Опреой или с торрентами. При работе с торрентами Опреа ничего не открывала. Задавал это вопрос на многих форумах и ничего не помогало. Сейчас работает и то и другое. Правда, Опреа чуть медленнее, чем без торретов, но все равно терпимо. Еще раз спасибо.
P.S. Как давно вышел этот патч?

Идея BitTyrant лежит в плоскости справедливого паритета трафика, а не максимальной скорости, в этом, IMHO, и есть главный недостаток.
У меня может быть хорошо отдающий мне пир, который не заинтересован в моей отдаче ему.
А я могу хорошо отдавать другому пиру, у которого канал на раздачу уже забит.
Все это свяжется в систему трекером с помощью рейтинга как единственного глобального критерия справедливого файлообмена. Так что, рейтинг куда лучше, у него есть правила, которых в BitTyrant нет. Пользователь его получит скорее тормоза, чем выигрыш. В лучшем случае - просто не получит особого эффекта.
На сегодня ничего лучше, чем трекеры, учитывающие рейтинг комплексными методами, плюс принудительно вставляющими флаг private, не существует.
Премию (кстати, не знал) им выдали не зря - IBM, к примеру, премирует сотрудников за изобретения, даже если они не внедрялись - просто за дух инновации.
Но польза мода BitTyrant сомнительна. Иначе все бы давно сидели на нем. Я не встречал пользователей, уверяющих, что получили прирост по отношению к Azureus.
К тому же, он основан на древней версии 2.5, а сейчас уже 4 версия Azureus.

Патчи вышли очень давно (со времен WinXP-SP2). И это хорошо известные методы, вывешенные на всех форумах по БитТорренту.
На счет опасности >100 мне не известно (не вижу принципиальной разницы), использую 1024, хотя можно вплоть до 16млн. На SP1 и ранее вообще было не ограничено
Рекомендую ставить ограничение в Azureus на half-opened на 80% от системного в tcpip.sys
Что касается необходимого количества half-opened, то чем шире канал в инет и чем больше пиров и торрентов, тем больше их надо.

Изменений в протоколе с тех времён не было, так что нумерация ничего не меняет по сути.

Подскажите, как увеличить размер оперативной памяти для java (Vuze). Не нашел внятного ответа, опишите подробно плз. В панели управления Java машины ничего подобного не нашел.

У него есть только настройки объема кешей.

Полагаю это по умолчанию предел в ява машине. Вот я и хотел увеличить эти 127мб, чтобы увеличить размер кеша для Vuze, для уменьшения обращений к жд.

Скажите а какая самая стабильная версия сабжа? Заюзать хочу, но о новой много плохого слышал.. Utorrent такой 1.6 считается, а Азуреус?

В принципе, я думаю самая стабильная это та, что была до окончательного превращения в Вузе.

Все версии Vuze довольно стабильны, про 4 ничего плохого не слышал, сам пользуюсь.
В классическом интерфейсе они все одинаковы. В 4 слегка ускорился интерфейс.
В каждой новой версии есть багфиксы, в 4 уже один степ был, так что...

Шу-мод как раз самый что ни на есть личерский, просто это денег стоит (10-25 евро).
В кряках, как я понимаю, то же самое, но без денег.

и что ж за редкость такая была?

Azureus 2.5.0.4

Имею 5 раздач и 0 закачек. Выбираю Загрузки и раздачи - запустить все. Все 5 раздач сразу становяться "В очереди" и никто не хочет запускаться хотя в настройках максимум активных торрентов = 10.

Помогает либо загрузка каждой раздачи отдельно, либо остановка и повторный запуск всех раздач.

Чего же ждет Azureus ?

Не хочу 4.0.0.2 - он стал как WMP с его media library, не нужной мне.

"WMP" полностью отключается до вида 2.5.0.4, паразитный трафик уменьшиться на порядок,
а TCPIP.SYS патчер на XP/Vista советую попользовать

1) Обновился и вернул старый интерфейс
Надо будет привыкнуть к особенности что при прокрутке полосы влелов и вправо возможно кратковременное пропадание значков (цвет торрента/статус трекера)

2) ОБновил патч. Как он влияет на скорость скачки/раздачи и на число Discarded данных (смотрю на твой скриншот)

Включал и выключал Scrape - на запуск не сильно влияет. Хотя с Скрапе вроде быстрее
и время запуска (день/вечер вроде тоже не сильно влияет)

Я использую: Vuze (Azureus) Последняя версия - 4.0.0.4
Описание проблемы:
Не могу отдавать ничего , отдача происходит лишь во время загрузки , а когда файл закачен сидирования нет хотя связи с пирами отображаются. Перепробовал все мыслимые настройки клиента: очередь, количество торрентов, убрал ограничения скорости, включал шифрование трафика (делало не хорошо) переопределения и проверку портов с Windows firewall и раутером включая полную переинсталяцию клиента. На местном трэкере пробовал сбрасывать пасскей и делать сброс соединений.
Результата нету.
У кого-нибудь есть идеи? Может я что-то пропустил?
