Better error reporting перезаписывает всего лишь, как вы написали, max 90 КБ, а Use Screen Courier for Image Sharing отключается в меню. Связь с "куда-то там к себе" просто можно запретить (у меня именно так).

Поведение Better error reporting только, мягко говоря, не устраивает.

Меня тоже ко-что не устраивает, особенно появившаяся служба SystemExplorerService. После её появления невозможно завершить зависший процесс, падает, как правило, сам System Explorer, который нельзя запустить вновь, пока не остановишь SystemExplorerService. А ведь добавлялась эта служба из благих намерений, по моему, чтобы не было проблем с запуском и работой не из-под администратора.

А поставить с инсталлера под учетной записью пользователя с ограниченными правами можно?

Все таки, ИМХО, лишние эти Recommended! и Not Recommended!: в описании внятно сказано о преимуществах и недостатках инсталлара и портативки. И чтобы ковыряться в системе, админские права определенно нужны, что понятно и ламеру. Если, конечно, они не впаривают в инсталлере Очень Нужное Adware! Recommended!.

В error_5_0_0_5157.log сыпятся сообщения вида

Выпустили 5.0.1
Проблема с Better error reporting осталась, файл error_5_0_1_5185.log увеличивается до 40МБ (Win 7 x86), на атрибут "Только чтение" не реагирует, пришлось заблокировать error_5_0_1_5185.log антивирусом, пока записей нет.

А что пишет в error_5_0_1_5185.log? Обновил портативку с 4.7.0 до 5.0.1 с сохранением конфига - лога нет. Win7x64.

А если пустой файл error.ignore положить рядом с эксешником или где хранит настройки, ничего не изменится?

error.ignore находится в папке C:\ProgramData\SystemExplorer, т.е. вместе с настройками, добавление его к эксешнику ничего не даёт.

5.0.2 качается, изменений нет пока.

В новой версии на пустой error_5_0_1_5185.log атрибут "Только чтение", записи прекратились без блокировки антивирусом. Если это изменение в версии - оно радует.

5.0.3 опять изменения не указаны.

Давно уже не проверяет новые версии при запуске, хоть галочка стоит. Файерволлом не блокирован. Если это не только у меня так - напишите разработчикам, чтобы поправили. А то на торрентах вижу новую версию - скачиваю. А установленный молчит.

Есть подозрение, что при подсчете трафика В строках "Всего.." он подсчитывает до 4 Гб, потом обнуляет. Это можно как-нибудь предотвратить?

Там различий с 5.93 только в бинарнике SystemExplorer.exe. Я его сразу из 5.94 вытащил и запихнул в архив 5.93-й переименовав его - на сервере в то время его вообще не было, дня через два выложили и поправили страницу закачки где говорилось о 5.93-й. Видимо у них были дела и поважнее чем обновлять свой сервер.
