В mkv возможны два варианта отображения обложек. Эта опция как раз отдает приоритет горизонтальной (ее же называют ландшафтной) обложке.
Вот на примере файла mkv (видео от matroska как раз для демонстрации функций cover art, где в файл вложены два типа обложек - вертикальная и широкая)
Так выглядит видео в проводнике если в Icaros вообще не включать функцию cover art

Так если активировать cover art

И вот так если включить опцию о которой ты спрашиваешь

Выйдет финальная версия Icaros, обязательно добавлю в шапку информацию об обложках в mkv

То есть никакой функциональности она в себе не несет.

На протяжении многих версий постоянно появляется одна и та же ошибка в журнале событий: .NET Runtime version 4.0.30319.17929 - There was a failure initializing profiling API attach infrastructure. This process will not allow a profiler to attach. HRESULT: 0x80004005. Process ID (decimal): 5664. Message ID: [0x2509].
Посмотрите плиз, есть у кого-нибудь еще? Может кто знает как избавиться?
Система Win7x64 SP1, все обновления, Icaros последний.

Ясно. По-моему, она только лишний раз сбивает с толка, эта кнопочка Впервые вижу, чтобы кто-то напоминал об авторском праве таким странным образом

Эта ошибка связана с индексированием для поиска.
У меня ее нет в журнале, потому что Служба Индексирования отключена.

Эта ошибка никак не влияет на функциональность программы.
А как вы определили по журнальной записи что ошибка связана с Icaros?

Другого объяснения не нахожу :-) Она появилась вместе с добавлением в программу вкладки "About Icaros", но о появлении какой-либо новой функции связанной с "Reserved" не упоминается.

Если сношу Icaros ошибка пропадает. Пару месяцев сидел на Media Preview - журнал чистый был.

Whenever Windows Search is performing an index/reindex of it's 'included locations', it executes an isolated host process; SearchFilterHost.exe.
This process loads, on demand, any property handler, that is required to index any of the different filetypes in the 'included locations' list.

All .NET 4 applications exposes a profiling api, allowing profilers to be attached on-the-fly.
The error you see reported in the event viewer is thrown because the initialization of this profiling api fails in IcarosPropertyHandler.
Now the reason why it fails, is most likely because the library is loaded via an unmanaged process (SearchFilterHost) (which is also loaded with very low privileges).

I'm currently not sure if something can be done about this, but at least the error itself should be benign.

There is currently two ways to avoid the error.
Either disable the Icaros property handler or remove any file locations containing Icaros' Property Filetypes (mkv, ogm, flv etc.),
from the 'included locations' list in the 'indexing options' util.

Заметил баг в Icaros Shell Extensions. Если у FLAC файла очень длинное название, то в Проводнике оно не отображается:



Кому не лень, свяжитесь, пожалуйста, с разработчиком и сообщите ему об этом досадном баге.

Icaros входит в состав последнего K-Lite Codec Pack!!!

если бы эта прога позволяла mkv-файлы добавлять в библиотеку Проигрывателя Windows Media цены бы ей не было. кстати. есть софт с подобными возможностями?

Я этим проигрывателем не пользуюсь, но mkv не добавляются даже после установки в систему сплиттеров/декодеров (кодеков) для mkv?

Обратим внимание автора Icaros на этот факт, и возможно решение найдется.
Какая версия WMP и OS у вас?
Вообще-то DivX+ осуществляет полную поддержку mkv, но этот пакет вызывает вопросы по поводу качества работы...

Нашёл ещё один баг! В Проводнике почему-то не отображаются данные для колонки "Исполнитель альбома" у FLAC файлов, хотя в тегах все прописано:

А вот это как раз баг со стороны AIMP3. Обрати внимание в шапке на ссылку "скриншоты". Там у моего flac все в порядке. Я заполнял теги с помощью mp3Tag.
AIMP3 почему-то игнорируют принятые стандарты заполнения тегов.
Недавно также была проблема с обложками flac, еле как удалось уговорить разработчиков заполнять тег по стандарту.

Так что лучше сообщить разработчикам AIMP3 об этом, и добавить отчего тег именуется "Ансамблем".
