обновились переводы для ряда языков, в т.ч. и русского, а так же changelog . Так что судя по всему если новых ошибок не вылезет то скоро стоит ожидать версию 2.9 SABLE. Так что давайте проверять нет ли каких скрытых ошибок чтобы они потом не вылезли.

zero all of the MBR/GPT/PBR structure with PARTITION_STYLE_RAW (which is what

* This means that, when an image with complex partitioning has been applied, such
as Chromium/ChromeOS, you may end up with a drive that can not be repartitioned
or reformatted in Windows (and this is completely independent of whether Rufus
was used to perform these operations - For instance you will get the same issue
if you use Win32DiskImager and diskpart + clean).
* The only option left for users then is to reset/repartition their drives in Linux
or some other OS, as Windows' VDS becomes incapacitated to handle the drive, as
the problem persists independently of reset/re-plug/Windows platform being used.
* To work around this, we ensure that we zero the MBR/GPT/PBR sectors BEFORE calling
IOCTL_DISK_CREATE_DISK.
* Also move zeroing of the drive before partition reset.

Отключите баннерорезку - ЯД если она включена не отдаёт файлы. Сам с этим возился...

- Work around a Windows bug that can render a GPT disk inaccessible after cleanup (e.g. ChromeOS image)
- Fix hash computation for content that isn't a multiple of 64 bytes (NB: This did not affect ISOs)
- Fix Syslinux installation on some media, with huge thanks to 424778940z for the tests

Вероятно судя по инц#820 это последний фикс для ХР т.к. v2.11 ХР не поддерживает...

а то что пока её можно запустить на ХР - это хорошо и не важно что мелкомягкие хотят чтобы все задрав штаны мчались покупать очередное их глюко-поделие ибо у них очередные детки подросли, а значит срочно денежка понадобилась - деткам надо новый ролс-ройс, яхту, виллу, ... и далее по списку, да и дядя Сэм за десятиной заглянуть обещал ....

но я с ней пока не встретился т.к. хотя у меня в хозяйстве и есть 2,5" 2 Тб USB 3.0 диски WD/Seagate, но они под иные задачи выделены, а для загрузки лучше флешки либо оптика - достаточно, да и ущерб от их потери или ловли ими заразы ниже...
