Описание: EMDB (Eric's Movie Database) — это легкий бесплатный каталогизатор видео, ориентированный на коллекционеров фильмов. При добавлении фильма поиск данных производится по базе IMDB.com и автоматически импортируется в программу. При этом ни что не мешает заполнить/изменить поля данных вручную.

Основные возможности: поиск по каталогу, фильтрация, сортировка, экспорт (txt, csv, html), режимы отображения каталога (книжная полка, таблица), личный рейтинг, пометки (смотрел, ищу, есть). В последних версиях добавлена работа с сериалами.

Примечание: программа имеет мультиязычный интерфейс. Русский язык не полный, от EMDB v1.35. Объявлен розыск русского языка текущей версии.

Разыскивается человек, обладающий навыками перевода, для русификации программы.

Надо добавить в русский файл переведенные строки из английского. Файлы можно открыть блокнотом.

Add Movies from HDD: Significantly improved updating from imdb regarding stability and responsiveness.
Database Options: Added a Search for duplicates functionality.
IMDB Import: Changed the way the movie titles are retrieved. Simplified the code and the Internet Import Options. You can now choose to always get the original title, the title based on your current location or the title for a specific Country.
IMDB Import: Added a dropdown with most common counties to import titles and certification from as these countries should be in English and exactly the way they are used on imdb.com.
System: Added support for *.ts (Transport Stream Media Files) in finding movies and TV Series on Hard Disks.
TV Series: Added Seen properties on Series, Season and Episode levels. Setting the seen property on series level sets the properties of all seasons and all episodes. So does the Season level property for all episodes of that season.
Database Options: Made the title of the default database editable.
Cover Import: Removed support for DVDEmpire as it was not working. I'm looking onto adding other sources.
Translations: Updated the Polish, Turkish, Danish, Catalan and Dutch translations.

September 20th 2013: version 1.88 released:

Internet Import: As IMDb does not provide localized plot outlines anymore we were searching for a good alternative. We added support for localized plot outlines and covers from themoviedb.org. No less than 33 (!) languages are supported but not all movies have plot outlines in every supported language. If not available the English one is used. If available also the localized cover is downloaded.
Database: Fixed incorrect actors and directors when merging 2 databases.
Cover Import: Fixed if a cover was retrieved from a specific source in the Add / Edit Movie page but nothing was found the current thumbnail was still removed.
Cover Import: Fixed the low resolution of thumbnails retrieved from Moviemeter.nl.
Internet Import: Fixed a maximum of 15 actors were retrieved (as there are maximum 15 actors listed on the imdb movie pages. Luckaly often more are listed on the full credits page.
Options: Options are now saved immediately after closing the options screen.
Media Files: Added support for detecting and playing *.vc4 disc images.
Translations: Updated the Portuguese, Hungarian, Spanish, German, and Dutch translations.

Internet Import: Added importing of Movie Trailers from IMDb.com and YouTube. The YouTube trailers are often dubbed or subtitled in your own language if you have set the TheMovieDb language setting to non-English.

Databases: Fixed selecting a database when more than 10 are created (I did not expect anybody to ceate more than a handful).

Новая версия, по прежнему, никчёмная.
Возможности создания своих плагинов поиска в Интернете нет. Сама программа поддерживает только IMDB да MoveDB.
Пользовательских полей - только 2.
Сортировка и фильтрация - через поход в отдельное модальное окно.
Сортировка по нескольким полям невозможна.
Группировка только по одному из трёх разрешённых автором полей.
Категорий нет.
Быстрый фильтр, инкрементальный поиск, конечно, тоже нет.
Типовые поля имеют фиксированный набор значений, даже Жанры...

За то, может показывать коллекцию, как полку с DVD-боксами и проигрывать фильмы...

Если в коллекции более десяти фильмов этот каталогизатор существенно проигрывает по функциональности Excel-у...
А если меньше, то зачем вам каталогизатор ?
