1. Подскажите, есть ли для pidgin скины изменяющие его внешний вид так чтобы визуально он был похож на Trillian или другой IM? Т.е. хочется не только смены цвета в окнах/кнопках/etc., но и в формах, главное смена основного окна контактов..
2. Есть ли откомпилированные x64 версия pidgin и плагинов под Windows? Возможно кто-то из комрадов уже сделал для себя..
3. Возможно есть неофицимальные плагины добавляющие поддержку других протоколов, таких как mail.ru и т.п.

Подскажите, плиз, возможно ли как-то настроить Pidgin так, чтобы при открытии окна беседы
отображалась не одна предыдущая беседа, а, допустим, 2-3 (лучше бы настраиваемое количество) ? А то привык после каждого ответа закрывать окно беседы, и при следующем открытии видна только пара вопрос-ответ, и всё. Да, Pidgin версии 2.7.5 под Windows XP,
если это имеет значение.

Смена "скинов", точнее тем gtk:
На странице http://gtk-win.sourceforge.net/home/index.php/Downloads
Выбираем, скачиваем, устанавливаем "GTK+ Runtime installer" и GTK+ Themes installer.
Запускаем C:\Program Files\GTK2-Runtime\gtk2_prefs.exe
Выбираем тему, OK, ДА. Перезапускаем pidgin.

Иконки статуса и трея в стиле ICQ. Взято отсюда.
Переделаны под структуру папок на момент версии 2.7.5
На случай отката вложен вариант из оригинального Pidgin 2.7.5

Есть ли в природе конвертер, который перегонит всю историю переписки из QiP Infium в Pidgin ?

Ребят, что то Pidgin сегодня ерундит, на протоколе MSN постоянно выскакивает это ошибка и не получается соединится...

Все языки там уже есть, включая Русский, по-крайней мере в этом - Ссылка . НО! Полный путь размещения папки с PidginPortable должен быть чисто "Латинским" - тогда нужный язык включится автоматом при запуске.

Вообще, это Правило написано "потом и глюками" многих поколений Пользователей - Полные пути к Программам должны содержать только Латинские символы, включая Имя конечной папки.

От _https://api.oscar.aol.com/aim/startOSCARSession получен неожиданный ответ: Ok
как это исправить?

Та же ошибка. Опять аська протоколы меняет. Ждём пока что-нибудь не прояснится...

upd Мне помогло установка сервера в 64.12.202.116, убрать галочку "UseClientLogin" и убрать шифрование "Dont use encryption"

Для бекапа настроек и хистори никакого плагина не нужно, просто копируется папка .purple, расположенная по адресу \Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%\Application Data, в любое другое место.. Потом, при надобности, возвращается обратно..

Я в курсе, так и делаю (только у меня Ubuntu), но хотелось бы сохранять ещё и список плагинов и их настройки - и при этом не тащить с собой массу ненужных рабочих файлов.

Всем добрый день. Установлена Pidgin 2.7.9 portable. Хотел установить темы, пробежался по форуму, нашёл вот эту инструкцию:
Установка тем

1. Ищете подходящие темы, скачиваете, разархивируете
2. Находите Ваш профиль GTK (зависит от операционной системы) и кидаете туда разархивированные темы
возможный вариант местонахождения папки с темами (WinXP):
C:\Program Files\Common Files\GTK\2.0\share\themes
3. Запускаете файл Gtkthemeselector (зависит от ОС)
возможный вариант местонахождения Theme Selector'а (WinXP):
C:\Program Files\Common Files\GTK\2.0\bin\gtkthemeselector.exe
4. Выбираете нужную тему для текущего пользователя (Current User) и нажимаете "ОК"
5. Перезапускаете Pidgin и радуетесь новому оформлению


Загрузил темы по соотв. ссылке из "шапки". Установил в папку PidginPortable\App\Pidgin\Gtk\share\themes. А вот файла gtkthemeselector.exe днём с огнём не найду. Может GTK надо устанавливать отдельно? Или я что-то неправильно делаю? Подскажите плз.... Устанавливал Pidgin_Portable_2.7.9_Multilingual.paf.exe.

Всем спасибо, разобрался. Пришлось скачать JQL GTK Portable вот по этой ссылке http://jqlgtk.sourceforge.net/portable.php Кинул в паку к pidgin. заработало.

Подскажите, где Pidgin хранит настройки учетных записей?
И как все-таки сменить в нем язык? В переменных средах у меня нету PIDGIN

папка .purple все настройки там. переменную нужно значит создать.

Никто не подскажет, чем плагин Пиджина Facebook отличается от Facebook XMPP ?!?

Афайк, первый писался, когда Фейсбук не предоставлял доступа по джабберу, и соответственно, использует какой-то свой API.
А теперь сам Фейсбук запустил XMPP-сервер и плагины более не нужны.

Как можно отменить авторизацию контакта icq в Pidgin?
В контекстном меню есть только "Заблокировать" и "Удалить". Если выбрать "Заблокировать" - контакт остается в списке; если "Удалить" - удаляется из списка на одном компьютере, но остается на другом (рабочий/домашний). Можно и на другом удалить, но авторизация, получается, остается?
