Оффтопик, и не будем спорить, какая лучше, какая - хуже...

А у меня наоборот- ObjectDock тормозит. В Y'zDock мне понравилось, что можно бэкграунд сделать полностью прозрачным. Только иконки видны. Может поэтому у меня не тормозит?
Хотя... У меня 14 иконок и при запущенных Mozill-e с 4-5-ю табами, TheBat, NetMon, CoolMon, DUMeter, играющем JetAudio, качающем FlashGet-е, (и еще штук пять запущенных мелочей), проц (Cel. 800) загружен на ~80%, свободной памяти- 38% (из 128Мб), на 8Мб видео появляется неплавность при движении мыши по Y'zDock-у, и анимация прыжков иконки при нажатии тоже подтормаживает (я ее отключил). Но в среднем тормозов нету.
На оффсайте есть еще YzdockBench или как-то так. На форуме aqua-man.net читал про него, юзера свои результаты выкладывают. Есть с чем сравнить.
Но я еще не скачал.

Скачал я ObjectDock, но думаю, ставить или нет. Кто-то хвалит одно, кто-то другое. Хотя, в ObjectDock можно и обычные файлы ICO применять.

Вроде последняя. А для рискованных экспериментов я использую копию своей ХР-шки на другой партиции, или захожу в нее через VMWare. Очень удобно.
Насчет ставить или нет- да поставь, попробуй. Я все попробовал. По "советам" очень трудно определиться.

Скачай маковских иконок.

Так я и имею ввиду МАКовские иконки 128х128, только сконвертированные в ICO 128х128.

Люди, а чего тишина такая здесь? 
Попробовал я все три программы и скажу, что MobyDock может быть и хороша, но настроек меньше чем у Y'z Dock и StarDock, и с русским языком проблемы.
Не очень как-то ещё и то, что нет возможности в этих программах создавать группы программ, или как в Офисной панели, или по типу DHTML-меню, навёл мышь на значок и открылась подгруппа ярлыков.
Попробовал я все три программы и скажу, что MobyDock может быть и хороша, но настроек меньше чем у Y'z Dock и StarDock, и с русским языком проблемы.

А можно ее как нибудь обмануть и поставить на W2kpro? Может в реестре чего подправить(CurrentVersion)?
Что то ObjectDock совсем сломалась, версия 0.88 вышла, у неё глюк она не вылазит из autohide'a если какое-либо окно развёрнуто во весь экран.
Ничё не сломалась, у меня все нормально "вылазит".

Кстати, в AboutBox моего ObjectDock написано "v0.87 build 154", хотя брал я аго сос ссылки на СОФТОДРОМе как версию 0.88, даже файлик инсталляционный называется

Есссессно! Я брал с оффсайта. Я так думаю, что разработчики не очень беспокоятся об этом проэкте, тем более это пока еще бэтки, да и бесплатно....

а среди доков ObjectDock imho самая продвинутая (я бы перешел на YzDock если бы она была поплавней, а то как-то дёргано в ней всё (замечу, это не комп тормозит, это прога такая)).
