The Bat! v2.05 Beta/12 is now available from

Here is a short list of changes:

[+] Marking all messages as read is now working for sub-folders and
entire accounts
[+] It is now possible to create Virtual Folders: "New|Virtual Folder"
in the folder tree pop-up menu or "Virtual Folder" button in the
Message Finder
[-] (#0002682) Access Violation Error when trying to view an attached
message in preview pane's tab when PTV is used (Beta issue)
[-] Some other cosmetic fixes


So, this Beta is about new Virtual Folders concept. Your
suggestions/thoughts/reports are welcome.

The new filtering system is being prepared, there is quite an amount
of job to be done there, but there is still a hope that it will
be announced soon. You may test the interface by Ctrl+Shift+Alt+T (as
it was noted before) and make your suggestions. There will be another
page called "Sharing" with a check list box of the accounts where a
filter can be used. Please also say what you think about addition of
actions to the filter and what could be more convenient. Some actions
will be gone, some other will be added...

We are willing to implement sounds into The Bat! and are looking into your opinions. What we want is certain important actions and confirmations to be audible in a distinct way. Such actions are account or folder deletion. Quiet peaceful clicks when selecting messages or folders may also be desirable.

1. We would like you to suggest us which cases (actions, confirmations, etc) should have an option to be phoneticized. There are too many cases to make them all audible. Which of them do you think are the most important?

2. What should be the interface to configure sounds?

3. Some vital actions and confirmations should have sounds provided by The Bat! installation. If you help us to find the wav files for that, we would be grateful.

In the meanwhile, you can test particular wav files with The Bat!

If there is "sounds" directory in the directory with thebat.exe, The Bat! looks for particular wav files in this "sounds" folder. The following file names are currently supported (please add .wav extension):

Подскажите, пожалуйста, решение следующей ситуации.
Создал правило, задал критерий, нужный эффект удаление письма по критерию, если оно старше 1 дня. Как сделать чтобы оно работало автоматически, а не нажимать 'Пересортировать письма' вручную раз в день:

По рассылке приходит ХТМЛ-письмо .. В самом начале письма все области (встречающиеся в таблице) вынесены в ссылки (синенькие и подчеркнутые). При нажатии на нужную область я перемещаюсь на соответствующее место в письме. Это что-то типа закладок. Так вот. На версии 1.6х это работало, а вот месячишку назад поставил 2,04,7 - не работает. Если письмо открыть в броузере - работает, а в БАТе не хочет. ..

посоветуйте какие-нибудь анти-спам фильтры для thebat2

все...

BayesIt! умеет удалять письма на серваке не скачивая их.

дык вроде с прогой идет антиспамник BayesIt
