По запарке не обратил внимания. Щас попробовал. Да - реально бесит.

Наваял патч - после применения галка в настройках означает, что и раньше - то есть открывать в фоне

Работает, как хотелось.

ВНИМАНИЕ! В архиве также лежит поправленный английский, на него нужно заменить тот, что ставится по умолчанию. Поскольку с оригинальным FeedDemon не даёт выбрать другие языки и выдаёт ошибку. Сообщение отправлено разработчику, думаю, в следующей версии поправит косяк. А пока выход только такой.

кто дружит с английским и зареган на офф форуме, тема такая
сейчас в мониторинг новостей сваливаются все новости, удовлетворяющие фильтру ПО ВСЕМ ЛЕНТАМ
если бы можно было ещё выбрать КАКИЕ ИМЕННО ленты фильтруются в отдельный мониторинг
к сожалению с английским не дружу, чтобы грамотно сформулировать необходимость настройки для каждого мониторинга КАКИЕ ИМЕННО ленты должны фильтроваться, а НЕ ВСЕ
есть возможность каждую конкретную ленту вообще исключить из мониторинга, но тогда, она не попадает ни в какой мониторинг, идея, в каждом мониторинге задавать галками разделы, ленты, которые в данный мониторинг будут фильтроваться
прошу помощи в доведении данной мысли до разработчиков

как заставить feeddemon не скачивать уже прочитанные новости при синхронизации???

Не могу заставить корректно скачивать ленты для офлайного чтения. Скачивается какая-то очень незначительная часть.
Делаю так: клацаю мышем на ветви "Subscription", в меню выбираю "Prefetch items for offline reading". Что-то качается, но очень мало.
Это я что-то не так делаю или глюк проги?
