Не тот лог, нужен svcpack.log.

Такая фишка. Этого файла нет ни на одной случайно взятой машине. Вернее на всех, кроме одной. На этой машине я удалил все содержимое SoftwareDistribution, запустил wuauclt.exe /resetauthorization /detectnow, после чего она насосала себе обновлений и появился этот файл в %windir% Вот содержимое [more][svcpack.log]

Время я поправил сегодня в расчете на понедельничную загрузку.
Нет, не появляется, хотя в политиках эта фича выставлена принудительно.
Замечено сразу после попытки его развернуть, а именно на прошлой неделе. После того, как стало понятно, что он не ставится, были сняты с одобрения все обновления, в связи с такой строчкой описании SP3

Выложи 2-3 WindowsUpdate.log с разных машин целиком на какой-нибудь обменник. После изменения политики проводилось ее принудительное обновление на машинах?

Сейчас они поотключаись уже, в понедельник выложу.
Неоднократно У меня даже скриптик есть на это дело. То есть я смотрел, что в 9.00 машины не обновились, переводил время на 11.00, веером обновлял политику и смотрел в 11. Ничего... Подкручивается политика, веером обновляется, смотрю... Ничего. С политикой я попробовал все.
Не пробовал: реестр, удаление содержимого папки (сегодня на одной машине), перенести контент WSUS на другой диск (МС рекомендует не системный, но ставилось на системный, т.к. другого нет)

Народ, настроил на win2k8 WSUS. Клиенты почти все XP Prof. В ГП указал использовать для обновлений сервак, политика вроде как переменилась (на паре компов проверил в rsop.msc). Но на сервер в оснастке WSUS -> Компьютеры их всего 21 штука, хотя компов в домене сейчас 93. Обновления все что сервак накачал одобрил все для всех, так что завтра или в понедельник должны накатится им (я правильно понимаю? расписание - ежедневно). А что с остальными машинами? Почему они не добавились в оснастку? Результирующие политики проверял, на том компе которого нету в WSUS.

1) реально ли развернуть WSUS на Windows 7 (Corporate)? Если реально, то есть ли какие-то особенности, к-рые нужно знать, прежде чем ставить (так сказать, ссылки на "почитать")?
2) в сети часть ОС лицензионных, часть все еще пиратские, не будет ли подставы, когда с WSUSа народ стянет апдейты и "нелегалам" скажет привет Майкрософт и предложение купить лицензионку?

1. Если стандартной установкой - нереально, есть возможность только консоль управления поставить.
2. Если "правильно" пиратские, то никакие обновки им не страшны .

на ломаную ХР установка СП3 может вызвать синий экран (на дллку какую-то ругается)
сталкивался сам не раз на работе на старых компах подчиненного предприятия

других проблем не припомню

Докладаю Вот логи с трех машин. Первый - с машины, у которой было удалено содержимое папки с апдейтами, остальные с произвольно взятых машин. Только исключил реальное имя домена, заменив на domain.local.
Но тут еще предистроия имеется. После поднятия WSUS он потребовал установить на клиентах три обновления: BITS, Installer 3.1 и еще какой-то патчик. Установилось не везде, в некоторые места были посланы эникейщики и доустановили необходимое руками. Стал распостранять IE8 и вполне успешно. Потом созрела мысль с SP3. Но созрела и еще одна мысль, а именно, при первоначальной установке от жадности проверил апдейты на все и вся, клиенты, серверы, офисные приложения. В итоге их появилась большая кучка, что стало неудобным. Поди там сыщи реально критические обновления для ХР и 7, когда все забито другими. Вычистить это дело не удалось. Тогда WSUS был снесен, оставлен только контент. При поднятии нового WSUS, папка с контентом была указана старая, а для базы данных новая.
Понимаю, что это скорее поведение слона в посудной лавке, но... Когда это было сделано, до или после одобрения SP3 я точно не помню.

можно поподробнее за этот пункт, а то как-то не очень охота переустанавливать вин7 на виндовс 2008 + попутно другой софт ради одного wsus'a.

WSUS ставится только на серверные OS, все.

имею WSUS 3.0 SP2

Подскажите, что конкретно удаляет мастер очистки сервера, если поставить галку на пункте "ненужные файлы обновлений" ? (+ссылку на источник)

кто знает, какая версия WSUS встроена в Server 2008 R2 x64? то есть если я поставлю отдельно WSUS 3.0 SP2 x64 на сервере или разверну на нем роль WSUS - это будет одно и тоже или разные вещи и функционал у них разный?

Криминала не видно. Разве что задана группа для компьютеров - Office. Одобрение на установку затрагивает эту группу? + можешь привести журналы событий с пары машин (events)?

При разворачивании WSUS как роли на Win2008 R2, мастер начинает что-то качать с инета.
В итоге версия WSUS - 3.2.7600.226, что соответствует WSUS 3.0 SP2.

P.S. Подозреваю, что если не будет инета, то установится WSUS 3.0 SP1, а SP2 придёт отдельно, после синхронизации и одобрения.

С группой все нормально, так и задумывалось. Компы валятся в свою группу автоматом, на эту группу идет одобрение того или иного апдейта. Есть еще группы Servers и IT. Для каждой действует точно такая же политика, за исключением целевой группы WSUS.
На клиентах есть такие события

Вне зависимости от того, установлен в системе SP3 или нет. Все системы с одного образа, русский, VLK. Апдейты на WSUS грузятся для английского и русского языков.

Так оно и есть. У меня он сам обновился до последней версии.

Что-то странно это. Клиенты ищут и находят обновки но не дают команды установки ("Agent: Installing updates"). WSUS Client Diagnostic Tool что-нибудь показывает?

как в данном контексте следует понимать "неиспользуемые файлы обновлений" ?

А фиг его знает . Может, если ты для какого-то языка выкачивал обновления а потом перестал. И все обновления с этим языком стали "неиспользуемыми". У меня эта процедура обычно только "старые редакции обновлений" сносит, но я особо и не наблюдал за ней.

Видимо, какое-то несовпадение случилось при переустановке WSUS. Заметил, что престал распостраняться IE8, а танцы с переустановкой происходили как раз когда были одобрены эти два апдейта (плюс-минус, где-то в том временном интервале). Сейчас я снял их всех с одобрения, закралась мысль, что перестали работать все апдейты. Взял произвольную заплатку безопасности и одобрил. Нормально распостраняется. Подожду денек lheujq до полной установки и попробую заново.
Есть мысль перед этим выполнить следующий скрипт

net stop wuauserv
erase %windir%\SoftwareDistribution *.* /F /S /Q
net start wuauserv

затем одобрить SP
