А может кто подсказать значение опции "удаление старых версий после этого кол-ва месяцев GoodSync" \ "cleanup old generation after this many month"? Имеется в виду лог программы, или мои файлы?

А заменённые файлы ведь тоже самое, что и старые версии файлов, да? Просто вольности перевода?

Т.е. это файлы из папки _history_, наподобие "Test_2013-1112-152659"

1) Сохраняется в указанной папке ОДНА(последняя) копия изменяемого содержимого.

2) Сохраняются ХХХ копий изменяемого содержимого в указанной папке.

Оба удаляются через указанный промежуток.

Непонятно когда 10 будет в конце концов зарелизена. В этой связи хотел узнать чем можно посмотреть зашифрованные папки и файлы.
Вообще странно получается, возможность шифровать уже есть в 9 версии, а возможность просматривать зашифрованное ещё нет. В 10 версии GsExplorer умеет работать с шифрованными папками и файлами, а в 9 нет.
Или я просто не нашёл как это можно делать в 9 версии через GsExplorer?

И существуют ли какие либо сторонние решения для дешифрования? Например понадобился где то зашифрованный контент, а возможность установки\использования GoodSync отсутствует.

мдя, а вот это становится совсем интересно. при установке нет ни слова, что эта фигня будет без спроса добавлять себя в файервол.

народ, есть папка на сервере с которой из 3 других мест по VPN синхронизируются другие. Скорость инета там у всех разная. Постоянно геморрой с конфликтами. Один синхронизируется, в это время лезет другой. В проге стоит "преимущество новых файлов", но она все равно просить разрешить конфликт вручную. В результате стоит и не синхронизируется по несколько часов пока не пнешь руками. Эти проблемы как то решаются вообще? Может есть какой то другой способ или софт для такой синхронизации?

Попробовал версию программы 10.х. Мощный инструмент, но мне не пригодилась, ибо скорости выдавала просто ужасные при подключении по webdav к различным хранилищам. Я понимаю, что долгое время обработки+заливки огромного кол-ва файлов это особенность работы программы, связанная с максимальной сохранностью данных, но я нашел для своих целей инструмент поудобней.
Кроме того, после штатного удаления на моей системе ( Win10 Pro, обновления на дату поста актуальные) она основательно нагадила:

Мой журнал не сохранился, нашел на просторах, суть одна.

Я так понял, что это последствия взаимодействия с Volume Shadow Copy.

А вот и не программа виновата, поскольку ошибок access denied возникло еще несколько, снова переустановил ОС и все то же самое.

В новой версии перешли с файлов локализации rfi на rfs, однако в инсталлятор забыли заложить процедуру удаления старых файлов.
В итого программа при запуске обнаруживает старые файлы локализации и ругается.
Чтобы избавиться от этого, выйдите из GoodSync, завершив все его процессы, зайдите в папку программы и удалите все файлы с расширением "rfi". Потом можете запускать программу и пользоваться.
Проблема возникает только при обновлении старой версии. При установке с нуля проблемы не возникает.

Подскажите (сам не смог разобраться) с синхронизацией между серверами: есть GoodSync для NAS (в моем случае, Synology). Как заставить (если это возможно), что бы GoodSync синхронизировал файлы между 2я NAS в одной локалке, без использования PC?
