For Ad Muncher to work at all those changes must be made.
It's just the nature of how Ad Muncher works at this time.
Disabling it on a per site basis isn't possible or we would have given you the option.
The gzip engine is actually done, we just have to integrate it into the code the base of Ad Muncher. Which sounds easy but will take some time.
This will most likely be done for v4.8
We are finishing some last things on v4.7 and will try to get the final out as soon as possible.
As soon as it is out we will throw ourselves at v4.8
I for one think that having gzip disabled along with ads and popups is more than a fair exchange.
But I've been told I'm weird so I guess I can't blame you for thinking differently.
