1) Produce 'n' FDDs images from Acronis floppy disks using WinImage:
a) Run Acronis TI and create n boot floppy diskettes.
b) Check whether the first floppy is bootable indeed.
c) Create 'n' images from those floppies using WinImage.
d) Extract all files from all floppy images to some directory
(C:\temp\ATI\FDD Images\files)
2) Produce clean HDD image using WinImage:
a) Create new FAT16 Primary partition (using Acronis PE or other similar soft)
giving sufficient space to contain all the files from the floppies.
b) Using WinImage create the boot image from this partition (
immediately! - prior you access this partition
from your Windows!) :
WinImage --> "Disk" --> "Use Disk "X" (just created) --> then press "Read Disk"
c) Save the image to some directory (C:\temp\ATI\HDD Images)
d) Backup just new created image (for the next projects like this).
3) Produce bootable CD
a) Start WinImage. Open the image of the FIRST floppy ("File" --> "Open")
b) Go to WinImage --> "Image" --> "Boot sector properties" and save MR
(master boot record) to some directory (C:\temp\ATI\MBRs)
c) Press "Cancel" then "Close" WinImage (no image saving is needed).
d) Start WinImage then open HDD image by WinImage ("File" --> "Open") (it should
be "clean" - no files in its window)
e) Go to "Image" --> "Boot sector properties", then "Open" just created MR, then press OK.
f) Add all extracted files to the image ( "Image" --> "Inject")
Following
this EXACT order of files insert files ONE-BY-ONE (!): from the first floppy image:
1) timage1.bin
2) splash.run
3) ramdisk.exe
4) bootwiz.cfg
5) bootwiz.sys
Press "SAVE".
Then injection of the rest of the files (timage2.bin,timage3.bin...) may be done in any order.
g) "Save" the entire image then close WinImage.
ANY INCOMPLIANCE WITH THE ABOVE EXACT ORDER OF ACTIONS CAUSES "NON-SYSTEM DISK" MESSAGE - i.e. boot image which you produce will be UNBOOTABLE.
h) Following the methodology of REANIMATOLOG to produce real CD.
