Сегодня нашел в инете Vanden Plas - Beyond Daylight (lossless). Скачаю и если все ОК - могу выложить.
Запрос на перезаливку с ТОРРЕНТА отправил, но там больше киноманы.

In 1990, two years had passed since Fishbone had released the great Truth & Soul. In the meantime, the already largely populated band had expanded to include another member, former Miles Davis player John Bigham, on second guitar. And since it would take another full year until their next full-length album would see the light of day (1991's The Reality of My Surroundings), the band decided to fill the void with a five-track EP titled after Truth & Soul's best song, "Bonin' in the Boneyard." While the great original version was not included, two new takes were: "New and Improved Bonin'" and "Bonin' in the Jungle." Neither came close to topping the original, but three other tracks fared better: "In the Name of Swing," "Love and Bullshit," and "Hide Behind My Glasses." While one of the tracks would resurface on the 1996 two-CD compilation Fishbone 101: Nuttasaurusmeg Fossil Fuelin, the other four are unavailable anywhere else. Although it's currently out of print, hardcore Fishbone fans will want the EP for its uncommon material. ~ Greg Prato, All Music Guide

The idea of an all-Pharrell album is natural and unnatural in roughly equal measure. Half of the extremely successful Neptunes production team, as well as a collaborator who has been deployed for countless guest verses and vocal hooks, Pharrell has been a regular presence on radio stations and video programs for several years. As of late 2005, however, there was only one single -- the summer 2003 smash "Frontin'" -- the man could call his own. You'd think he would've been on his second or third solo album by the time the decent In My Mind was released in July 2006, but Pharrell has always considered himself a producer/songwriter first, a background figure who isn't a singer -- and, for that matter, he's not much more than a competent MC. If he weren't so crafty at his primary calling, he'd be relying almost exclusively on his charm and sex appeal. Perhaps this partly explains why In My Mind took so long to materialize. In interviews, Pharrell seemed more exhausted than excited and indicated that the album was too much of a compromised process. While the album never sounds as if less than 100 percent was put into it, a large chunk of the material is second rate compared to his past highlights ("Frontin'" included), and it's no help that the tracks tapped as singles are some of the weakest moments (as was the case with the first version of the first N.E.R.D. album). Produced entirely by Pharrell, with guest appearances from several of the high-profile artists (Jay-Z, Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, Gwen Stefani, Nelly, Slim Thug, Clipse's Pusha T) whose careers have been boosted by the Neptunes, the album is divided in half between R&B and rap, at least if you go by Pharrell's singing-to-rapping ratio. Those who have been wanting to hear more of Pharrell's softer side will be pleased with the direction the album takes during the latter half, where his usual cocky demeanor is tempered by some loverman vulnerability. Just the fact that the album contains over an hour of Pharrell will be enough to attract scores of his fans, and it's not like any part of it is flat-out poor, but it's a shame it didn't turn out better. Otis Taylor doesn't suffer fools lightly, and his insistent, hard-driving modal songs, full of defiant reclamations of history and tender vignettes of people struggling to survive in hostile cultural territory, are like nothing else on the contemporary blues scene. Imagine John Lee Hooker if he had grown up in the Appalachians and cut his teeth playing with a steam-driven mountain string band, then add in the fierce political commitment of a Peter Tosh, and you begin to get the picture. On Below the Fold, his third release for Telarc Records, Taylor stays well within the seam of his previous work, which is by no means a bad thing, and for the first time he actually adds drums (played by Greg Anton) to a few tracks, which is a bit like shoveling Sterno into the boiler, and cuts like the opening "Feel Like Lightning" literally explode down the track like a string band playing "Reuben's Train" on steroids. He calms things down a bit for the lovely "Boy Plays Mandolin," which features some beautifully spooky trumpet lines from Ron Miles. Arguably the most striking track here, however, is a song co-written with his teenage daughter Cassie Taylor (who plays bass on the album), "Working for the Pullman Company." Cassie came up with the melody and chorus when she was only five years old, and she handles the lead and harmony vocals on the song with impressive and wistful poise. Below the Fold fits easily into Taylor's emerging canon, and it has the same urgent, ragged beauty of his previous albums. He is unlikely to change the way he does things in the future, which is just fine, since his Appalachian griot approach is perfect for his musical and political agenda, and perfect for shaking up the complacency of the contemporary blues scene. ~ Steve Leggett, All Music Guide

Работая вместе с композитором – миллионером Дэйвидом Лоу ( David Lowe ) над проектом Dreamcatcher (Ловец Снов), Чарли и Гордон решили предложить Дэйвиду, чьи таланты вызвали у них абсолютное восхищение, поучавствовать в создании новаторского проекта, основой которому были бы джазовые вариации популярной музыки с очень «экономным» использованием текстов – достаточно неожиданный для современного шоу бизнеса ход.
На новый проект повлияли такие разные произведения и исполнители, как The Champs “ Tequila ” и Louis Armstrong “ Dippermouth Blues ” и Fatboy Slim . Находясь под таким разноплановым влиянием, Дэйвид спродюсировал песню “ Would You …?” используя клубную лексику и музыку, написанную совместно с трубачем Джеймсом Линчем ( James Lynch ) и стилизованные в ретро партии ударных и бас-гитары.
“ Would You …?” очень быстро заняла 3-е место в чартах Соединенного Королевства и оставаясь в горячей десятке больше месяца, стала в последствии мировым хитом, продавшись более чем полумиллионным тиражом.
Последовавший за этим синглом очень успешный дебютный альбом Touch & Go « I Find You Very Attractive ” включал в себя хит-синглы “ Straight To Number One ”, “ So Hot ” и “ Tango In Harlem ”, который во многих странах обрел свою местную жизнь – например, в России певица Эвелина Бледанс записала песню и сняла клип используя семпл из “ Tango In Harlem ”.

Bob Seger recorded the bulk of Night Moves before Live Bullet brought him his first genuine success, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that it's similar in spirit to the introspective Beautiful Loser, even if it rocks harder and longer. Throughout much of the album, he's coming to grips with being on the other side of 30 and still rocking. He floats back in time, turning in high-school memories, remembering when wandering down "Mainstreet" was the highlight of an evening, covering a rockabilly favorite in "Mary Lou." Stylistically, there's not much change since Beautiful Loser, but the difference is that Seger and his Silver Bullet Band -- who turn in their first studio album here -- sound intense and ferocious, and the songs are subtly varied. Yes, this is all hard rock, but the acoustic ballads reveal the influence of Dylan and Van Morrison, filtered through a Midwestern sensibility, and the rockers reveal more of Seger's personality than ever. Seger may have been this consistent before (on Seven, for example), but the mood had never been as successfully varied, nor had his songwriting been as consistent, intimate, and personal. Thankfully, this was delivered to a mass audience eager for Seger, and it not only became a hit, but one of the universally acknowledged high points of late-'70s rock & roll.
