Обосновать нет времени... и нервов
Для тех, кто знает английский, вот, например, мое письмо в их саппорт:
Dear Sirs.
I bought your 1200 CU Plus scanner about a year and a half ago. When I
bought it they told me I had a 2-year warranty.
Six months later I got the first problem: the ribbon cable connected
to the lamp became much less flexible. As a result it did not let the
lamp move as slightly as it did before. The scanned image got quite
bumpy. One day the cable concertinaed and stopped the lamp. The sound
was quite embarrassing.
I called the local service center (in Moscow). But they told me my
scanner was not supported (they did not have its S/N in their DB), and
that I had to repair it myself! I am lucky being a good hand at
repairing things. I pulled out the cable, straightened and
scotch-taped it to the bottom in the places where it tended to bulge.
But when the carriage stopped prematurely, something probably happened
to the belt or the belt drum, because now I can always hear an
unpleasant buzz while working with the scanner.
But the most wonderful problem was the following.
One day after not using the device for some time I found that the
carriage got stuck to the rod. It just did not move. After
disassembling the whole mechanism I still could not budge the carriage
off its place, until making flood lubrication. I was astonished: the
grease mixed with some metal particles became a sort of glue that
fixed the carriage fast. I had to cleanse the rod and grease it again.
I have never had so many problems with one device. The situation with
the service is beneath criticism. I hope it would be better some day

Посоветуйте БЫСТРЫЙ и НАДЕЖНЫЙ сканер для работы с текстовыми документами. Будет использоваться очень часто.
