просто таких дров не сущесвует на windows 7 x64, перерыл много сайтов и все бесполезно!!!! а на ХР есть, а семерку менять не охото! вот и надо создать виртуальную машину с ХР!.

тогда наверно лучше XP Mode использовать (Windows Virtual PC), если Windows 7 Профессиональная, Windows 7 Максимальная или Windows 7 Корпоративная.

Вы пробовали финал 4.2? Они сделали наконец-то полноценную поддержку Aero в висте/семёрке?

Помогите с проблемой,всё перечитал подобного не нашёл.
Стоит VMBox 4.1.8 на хостовой Windows 7 x-64
Работаю с несколькими гостевыми системами(Windows 7-32bit,XP-32bit,Ubuntu10.10)
Инет NAT,Папка общая расшарена,USB Flash подключаются.
Но при подключении вебкамеры (с заранее установленными дровами),вернее при включении камеры происходит полный вмсяк всего.Мои 2 ядра хостовой машины (E 8500-3,16ГГц),виснут наглухо,не помогает убийство процесса virtualbox в процесс експлорере,а только насильственное выключение кнопкой на системнике.
И так всегда на любых гостевых системах.
Камера на них видна в диспетчере,дрова есть,но только стоит её включить-то всё сначала.......
При этом процесс VirtualBox.exe нет возможности убить никакими средствами.После принудительного рестарта порядка 1,5 гига отчётов об ошибках Windows удаляю CCleanerom.

Это может быть связано с тем (если ваша камера USB 2.0), что VirtualBox для Windows хостов пока не поддерживает изохронные передачи, и такая поддержка на данный момент есть только для Linux хостов (начиная с версии 3.0.0):

ну под хостовой линукс у меня аеро так и не завелся
а на работе стоит венда, так там прям сразу
да и значится как экспериментальное всегда

Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-4.1.8 -установлен,да и без него бы флешки не подключались.
Но почему то камера работала на какойто старой версии(не помно какаято 3 с чемто ещё)
Камера таже.
И почему на современном ноутбуке с камерой,на установленной виртуалке работает вебкамера?

Проблема не в семёрке, а в VirtualBox. Пример.
1. Берём VMware Workstation 8/9, устанавливаем семёрку, ставим гостевые дополнения + директ икс, делаем оценку индекса производительности системы, всё проходит удачно, аеро включается автоматически.
2. Берём VirtualBox, устанавливаем семёрку, ставим гостевые дополнения + директ икс, делаем оценку индекса производительности системы, выскакивает ошибка с руганью на видеодрайвер, никакого аеро нет.
3. Я знаю про костыль с принудительным включением аеро, но хотелось бы, чтобы всё работало без всяких костылей.

Есть возможнорсть в VirtualBox сделать такое?
Полазил по настройкам, не нашел.

ЗЫ: и да у меня тоже виртуальная графика в оценке равна скромных 2.3 бала, виртуалка же...

финал 4.2 просто великолепен. как же классно заработала на нем восьмерка. Oracle - просто молодцы.

Дополнения в обычно режиме всегда ставлю.
Обязательно галку на 3Д.
А на тот вопрос отвечаю что-то по смыслу "все равно установить макс поддержку 3Д", емнип, действительно нужно жать кнопку "нет".

Поставил 4.2.0, пытаюсь в настройках указать путь к папке для виртуалок, выдаёт такое: "Не удалось задать глобальные настройки VirtualBox. Детали: Код ошибки метода: CO_E_NOTINITIALIZED (0x800401F0)"
Как это можно вылечить?

Проблемы наверное когда вы запускаете игру в режиме DirectX. Поддержка Direct3D в VirtualBox эксперементальная. Так что запускайте игру в режиме OpenGL.
