Приветствую!
Хочу перейти с FF на сабж, так как на ноуте он работает намного приятнее. Посему возникли следующие вопросы:
- есть ли у сабжа замена Scrapbook?
- можно при восстановлении сессии восстанавливать не только открытые страницы, но и положение на них?
- можно ли сделать скролл табов мышкой и их перетаскивание?
- возможно ли сохранение страниц в mht?
- возможно ли отображение иконок сайтов на панели закладок?

Соответственно, нафига задавать здесь, в этой теме, такие вопросы - это в Файрфоксе более 400 расширений - ну и пользуйся им, а K-Meleon - лучше всех выполняет свою именно браузерную работу и без этих нескольких сотен улучшателей (расширений) его работы!!!

Пока, наверное, зря, - так как существует K-MeleonCCF ME от Hao Jiang'а, в котором не используется XUL, и, вдобавок, в его K-Meleon'е макросы пишутся на LUA, который предоставляет гораздо больше возможностей:

Правда, после применения этого патча, у меня на русском K-Meleon 1.02 Pro build 4, началась заморочка с дефолтовой папкой профиля.
А вот после распаковки, в папку установленного K-Meleon'а, содержимого из вот этого (ссылку на него я приводил ранее) Fred'овского архива, который я чуть-чуть переименовал и положил вот сюда:

заморочки с дефолтовой папкой профиля нет, только частично потерялась русификация, и изменилось расположение некоторых пунктов меню.
Да, ещё скин поменялся на другой и нерусифицированный, но это легко поправить:
Правка > Настройки > Отображение -> Оформление, и выбираешь понравившийся русифицированный скин.

Заморочки, после обновления, с дефолтовой папкой профиля K-Meleon'а, вдруг возникли снова - приходиться два раза жать подтверждение, и, вроде бы, это как-то зависит от наличия других K-Meleon'ов в системе...
НО! - Fred поборол этот странный баг, и выпустил версию и для Windows, и для Linux с Wine:

В ней:

Всё то, что было написано по поводу специфики установки прежней версии, относиться и к этой: [more]До первого запуска K-Meleon, чтобы потом не было недоумения о незапуске K-Meleon'а, настоятельно рекомендую последовать совету Fred'а:

Мне нравится русская сборка Камелеона из тех, что я видел. CCF, например, на вид понравилась меньше.


Пара вопросов собствнно по броузеру.
1). Что за loader.exe есть в папке с Камелеоном? Зачем он нужен?
2). И всё-таки, можно ли как-нибудь панель закладок сделать "попродвинутей", то есть чтобы, например, щелчок средней кнопкой мыши открывал страницу в новой вкладке, или контектсное меню...

Плюс к этому, в ней используются и опробуются всяческие инновации - а это МНОГОГО стоит!
Вдобавок, в 4-ой бете, CCF ME меня просто потрясает до полного изумления своей скоростью!
Хотя, казалось бы - куда уж быстрее? - ведь даже просто K-Meleon (который не CCF) - и так самый быстрый браузер в мире.

А это как бы аналог сворачивания в системный трей при шёлкании по красной кнопке с крестиком в правом верхнем углу окошка Windows.

В K-Meleon'е можно всё (ну, или почти всё) - если написать соответствующий макрос (или плагин), который реализует нужную именно тебе функцию:

Т е плугин найден и установлен самим K-Meleon. Но при нажатии кнопки Configurire получаю сообщение the plugin has not been loaded Это как - не найден но установлен?

После того, как кнопка включит плагин, обязательно надо закрыть браузер, и при следующем запуске браузера AdBlock Plus автоматически зарегистрируется в K-Meleon'е.

В контекстном всплывающем меню AdBlock Plus появиться только при наведении мышки на баннер (или на какую-нибудь картинку) и щёлкании правой клавишей.
После установки AdBlock Plus добавляет на тулбар свою панельку с красной кнопкой и надписью на кнопке белым шрифтом ABP. Шёлкание по этой кнопке левой, средней (колёсиком мыши), правой кнопкой мыши вызывает появление различных всплывающих меню с настройками AdBlock Plus'а.

Если проблема по-прежнему у тебя сохраняется, то можно попробовать задать вопрос непосредственно Владимиру Паланту (разработчику плагина) тут:

Там была проблема, что в более старых версиях adblock plus для k-meleon компиляция происходила с учётом того, что версия Гекко была 1.8. А в K-Meleon 1.1 версия Гекко 1.8.1. Отсюда и вылезла такая проблема, что модуль обнаружался, но оставался нерабочим.
Для работы с K-Meleon 1.1 лучше всего берите самый последний dev build. О чём уже сказал ioppp.

Хотя иногда не все понятно. K-Meleon является проект sourceforge - компании которая выпускает довольно много программ для NIX систем, почему нет под Lin без Wine???
